One Month Old!

Hey sweet girl!
Greetings from the end of month 1! That's right, we did it. We survived the first month of being up all night, going through diapers at a ridiculous rate, constantly smelling like baby lotion, the house being transformed from a place full of our stuff to a place full of baby stuff, and finally, adjusting to being a three person family instead of a 2 person family. We have loved it! It wasn't as scary as everyone said it would be. Although - that might really be because your dad is a super hero. First a picture, then an update:

You and Miss Bear, who will be appearing in all monthly pictures through the first year.

Schedule: We haven't settled into one during the days yet, but at night we feed you at 11, then we go to bed and you eat again at 2 or 3, then again at 5 or 6. You nap again for an hour or so, then you're up for the day!
Weight: A little over 9 pounds.
Length: Not exactly sure, but you already outgrew some of your small pajamas!
Fun facts: You sleep SOOOOO much better in your own room than in our room. You must like your space.
You definitely don't like to be swaddled. We recently realized that you fight against the blanket so much that it keeps you awake at night.
You love love love to eat! When you start drinking a bottle, you get so excited that you swallow a bunch of air while you try to gulp down your milk as fast as possible.
We are slowly moving over to cloth diapers instead of disposables. We can't tell if you like them better or not yet, but we certainly do! They last so much longer!
Milestones: You are getting really good at holding your head up while we hold you upright, although any other big body movements are very jerky. Strong, but jerky.
Your eyes have started focusing on what is in front of you, instead of having that "stare off into the distance" look.
You are learning how to suck on your hands to calm yourself down.

We are so excited to watch you grow and learn lots of new fun things over the next 11 months. We love you so much. Congratulations on everything you've accomplished this month!
